MadPix Festivals and Screenings.

Doug and Lisa hit the road in April heading to the Cleveland International Film Festival, Northeast Ohio Medical University, and New York City on Earth Day. The first stop, however, was the most awe-inspiring – the solar eclipse! The Rock N Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland was the perfect location for them to not only get some amazing shots but also to soak it all in. Great way to begin the trip!

Doug was involved in three films that were screened at the Cleveland International Film Festival — FOOD ROOTS, FIRST WE BOMBED NEW MEXICO and INVISIBLE NATION — which made it a wonderful experience.

Their next destination was Northeast Ohio Medical University, where Lisa led a panel discussion after showing THE S WORD. This took place during the Campus Safety and Suicide Prevention Symposium: Cultivating Caring Campuses. The screening was open to students, faculty, and community members, resulting in a successful turnout and insightful conversations.

On Earth Day Doug traveled to NYC for the global premiere of OUR BLUE WORLD, a groundbreaking documentary narrated by Liam Neeson that explores humanity’s profound relationship with water. Doug is an Executive Producer of the film which was very well-received.

Then it was back home to Los Angeles for the SignLight International Film Festival, where BEING MICHELLE won for Best Documentary! Rosie O’Donnell moderated the post-screening discussion. All in all it was a great evening, and the film continues to rack up awards and accolades.

Let’s see what the summer will bring.
