Madpix Films co-founder Doug Blush was recently invited to become a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences! Congratulations, Doug.
Additionally, Doug was Executive Producer of THE SILENT WITNESS winner of the 2024 News and Doc Best Short Film Emmy. Thank you to directors George Kunhardt and Teddy Kunhardt for involving Doug in this hauntingly beautiful and timely story.
THE SILENT WITNESS is a documentary about Tomiko Morimoto West’s horrifying experience as a 13-year-old girl in Hiroshima when the first atomic bomb dropped. The film details how she survived, what she witnessed, and how she was affected. West, now a ninety-one year old woman, has a message of peace.
The film made its debut at DC/Doc in 2023 and is available on YouTube. A screening guide for educational use is available through Life Stories.
